WayneWare's Bio

I hail from Southern, CA., the birthplace of hot-rodding and drag racing. I began working on cars and building motors at the age of 16.

Working on friends cars and street racing, in the Los Angeles area, funded my first engine project.

At the age of 18, I completed a small block Chevy for my 1971 Chevy Vega in time to drive it to L.A. Trade Technical College.

After obtaining my Automotive Associate degree, I began employment with a Compton transmission shop. My first goal was to purchase that same transmission shop. Within four years, I purchased the company and it grew from a small shop to one of L.A.'s first minority-owned speed shops, Racer's Emporium.

Due to the lack of drag racing in Southern California, I opened a stereo and automotive accessories store instead of a high performance shop. I began building custom street cars and hot rods and continues to do so to this day.

Now that there is a resurgence of tracks in the Southern California area, in addition to building custom cars, I will also build race cars.

I have a reputation of meticulous detailing and completing my work to perfection!
